FOREST DISCOVERY TRAIL
The Forest Discovery Trail (FDT) Program was initiated by the family, friends and colleagues of William Ferrell, shortly after his death in 2016, to honor his life and work, and to help his love of nature and science live on, reaching OSU Research Forest visitors, and inspiring a new generation of young scientists.
The FDT Program takes place in Peavy Arboretum, part of the OSU Research Forest, and includes a series of self-guided tours. A great deal of material for both visitors and teachers has been prepared by OSU Research Forest staff to support this program and is available at the Forest Discovery Trail website and the Forest Discovery Club Facebook site.
The FDT program is being developed and maintained by staff and faculty at the OSU College of Forestry Research Forests with creativity, energy and loving attention. Bill Ferrell's family is grateful for this. If you wish to support the FDT with a gift, directions follow below.
